The deconstruct-able Torii gate for denim display. A commissioned display piece for @yamaneandco to exhibit hand painted Japanese denims by @honoo_by_yamane.

The biggest object I’ve made so far! At Fushimi Inari Grand Shrine, the gates along the Senbon Torii, “The 1,000 Torii,” actually number in the 10,000s, each one with the name of its donor painted on it. Generally painted red or vermillion, which is the traditional color for warding off evil.
