CONCEPT 1:
	
What is it? An app that allows the user to interact with historical locations around London through AR learning about what took place in each location. The user can collect artefacts at each historical place which they can then augment in any location.
Who’s it for? Aimed at children to be interest them in learning about history through obscure and interesting events.
How is it unique? Offers a method to explore London and learn about obscure histories. Enables users to interact with the history to create a more dynamic, playful learning experience.
Character concept: Pigeon - guides you in app and gives information about the historical locations (playful, chatty, friendly).

This Image shows how our first idea would work to engange the user into taking an object from the scene to look at a later date where they could place the item linked to the monument. I wanted to show how we could make the object react when filmed through AR. But looking back on it I think the idea seemed a bit boring and not too apealing to a mass audience.

	&#38;nbsp; These LiDAR scans were acheived by cyclying around london and finding the places we wanted to talk and teach people about the weird stories that happened at the the locations. We were excited to extract the objects from the locations and make them into individual objects users could spawn through AR and learn these facts we researched about them.

	
REVISED CONCEPT 2:
	
What is it? An app that allows the user to interact with locations through AR. Users can tell their own stories/perspectives that are unique to the specific place, and their opinion can be heard. The user can collect the diaries from locations which they can later look back on in their library.
Who’s it for? The purpose it serves is to tell stories of places through the lens of the individual. Ages 18-60.
How is it unique? Our App is unique in the way it documents peoples perspectives and keeps it logged within a space for people to extract and learn from. In addition, it can be used as a tool to understand and share opinions to form a community of clashing ideologies.

IDEA GENERATION:
	

You can go to the location then write in the diary, once you have been there you can collect the book and read what is being added anywhere from your library.

Locations can be personal or social histories (personal experiences, protests, historical occasions, etc).

Users will only be recognisable from their age, occupation, gender, etc. We want to keep it anonymous, but to be able to see how different communities/age ranges/classes, etc may have differing opinions.

	After we changed our idea I wanted to imagine how we could collect these comments about life people were making and what was the best way to present to people using AR to learn about a specific area. After creating this journal I figured that it wasnt engaging enough to keep people reading their phone all day and didn’t add too much personality to the persona of the person leaving their statment.

	This was another visualization of how the world could look through the lens of the app. Again I thought this wasn’t engaging enough to keep people on their phones just reading stories. It also wasnt versatile because the stories could be only posted onto walls and wasn’t relevant to the idea of thought and memories, it seemed to boring.&#38;nbsp;

This is when we started to develop a object or theme that could represent the thoughts of individuals. We thought of objects or things that could float around the user, the main two we thought about were clouds or bubbles. &#38;nbsp;We thought they were both effective because they could both be different sizes depending on the importance of the voice note it held. However we went with clouds because they were more flexible and we thought we could maybe play with the more verstile shape of a cloud to represent something more about the thought left there.

This was the start of imagining how we could show were the pin points of clouds would be on a map and how the user would navigate themsleves around the area to find these individual comments about the specific place. It was also the start of showing how the interface of the app might work to fit the idea of navigating an area that had items to dicover.

Cloud models from rhino to represent voice recordings from different users. This process was difficult to achieve but being able to show where the clouds would lie within a space was useful to help visualize how these voice recording would live react around the user listening to them. Looking back on it I think we should have focused more on the individuality of the clouds after we had fully realised the full extent of our project..

These pictures show the begining of looking at the app interface. Including the recording audio interface and where the user would store their voice notes and their favourites they have heard from other users to listen at a later date.

When illustrating this image I created it to show the group how I imagined the clouds coming and going as the user would walk through the park or the street. I think it was useful to help the group understand how this function of the app would work and help to imagine how we might start creating it.

The development of the Logo was challenging because we wanted to create something simple but clear in showing what the app was used for. We decided that the colours should be linked to peaceful colours and help to portait that the app was not a game a more of an platfrom to voice your memories and ideologies.

	Technical development:
On the left is the 3D clouds we developed combined with the app interface to show how they would react and where they would sit on the perspective of a screen.


On the right is a creation I made on spark that shows how the user could draw their own cloud to fit with their story and how they could change the texture of the cloud to fit with the emotion they were trying to get across when other people would listen back to it. I think this was an effective outcome although we didn’t definatley say that it would be in the final outcome of the app I think it was efficient in making the app feel more personal to the people that were telling their own stories.

	&#38;nbsp;I wished I focued more on the individlism of the clouds rather than the commentary, through emotion and form. However getting natural voice notes from Greenwich park helped to present our app in a proffesional way and get the concept of the app across to the Facebook reality labs.

&#38;nbsp;This is my development for my project 2.5. My first idea to develop this project was to create something that detected the weather and extrapolated the data into a certain texture or colour to place onto a cloud. Which the user could then use to show other people what kind of mood they were in reflected by the the wheather at the time. However I didn’t feel that this felt personalized or individual enough So my second idea was to develop how the clouds would react when the user spoke into it to show what kind of emotion the user felt. To do this I wanted to show the emotion of the user through the tone of their voice portaited by the colour the cloud would turn. For example if someone was angry the cloud would turn red by detecting the volume and frequency of the voice.

I thought Xcode would be perfect to use as you could use the materials in the app quite eaisly and through the code you could get these materials to react to the volume input by the user. To do this I used an extension form GitHub called audio kit which could detect sound and make objects or stuff within the app react. In the Code I was able to make the cloud pulse when the person spoke louder or change colour when the frequency of the input was higher.&#38;nbsp;

&#38;nbsp;As you can see in the video the cloud is changing colour or pulsing when I click my fingers around the object. I believe this was an effective outcome because it allows the user to veiw their emotion through the transformation of the cloud and present it to other user that would walk past it and see the audio within the cloud and understand what kind of emotion or serverity of the commentry made in that specific place.
