SHI’TEA’ MACHINE 1.0 - A BAD CUPPA.
A interactive speculative sculpture. An exploration of poorly or individual made cups of tea.
This creation started as a means to destroy the notions automated subjective drinks, for example, coffee, squash or hot chocolate. Making a cup of tea is one of the last ways we can express ourselves through a comforting pastime. I wanted to present my enjoyment of humans having different niches when it comes to making a cup of tea. I wanted to emphasize that it is important for stuff to not be made in a mass manufactured way and embrace individualism. By automating this process of making a tea, a ritual as old as time, it reminds us to stay true to our self in a time of evolving intelligence. Some things should remain humanly curated.
